Lake Hartwell is conveniently located on the Georgia-South Carolina line at I-85, a 2 hour drive from downtown Atlanta, 2 hours from Charlotte, NC, or 1 hour from Greenville, SC. Numerous Recreation Areas provide public access to 962 miles of shoreline and 56,000 acres of some of the best boating, water-skiing, and fishing in the southeast. GOLF one of many nearby courses, FISH for one of our 40 pound Striped Bass, or just relax on a quiet island or one of many natural sand beaches.

MOUNTAINS and NATIONAL FORESTS totaling 2 million acres are located within an hour. These areas feature hundreds of hiking trails, mountain trout streams, waterfalls, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, canoeing, rock climbing, mountain biking, scenic drives, bicycling, gem mining, and dozens of beautiful picnic areas. SHOP unique area markets or explore giant flea markets, factory outlet stores, and unique craft shops scattered throughout the area.

Mountain Lakes Vacation Rentals is a fully licensed family company representing privately owned vacation homes. We have a complete range of accommodations from fishing cabins to deluxe homes on both the Georgia and South Carolina sides of Lake Hartwell, on Lake Keowee, and in the surrounding areas. All are used routinely by their owners and are complete with necessities such as linens and cooking utensils. The final cleaning is provided.
