MOUNTAIN LAKES VACATION RENTALS is a fully licensed brick and mortar vacation rental management company representing privately owned vacation rental homes on Lake Keowee in South Carolina and on Lake Hartwell in both Georgia and South Carolina. We offer a complete range of vacation accommodations. Most are used routinely by their owners, all are air conditioned and come with a boat dock unless otherwise specified. Linens, cooking utensils, and the final cleaning are provided. Although many of our houses are pet friendly (with an extra charge) others do not allow pets. Please confirm before bringing pets.
MOUNTAIN LAKES is an independent privately owned locally based company. Vacation rentals are our only business, not our hobby or second job. We do not buy or sell property and are not affiliated with any realty or time share company. We are members of  DUCA (Discover Upcountry Carolina Association), NEGMTA (Northeast Georgia Mountains Travel Association),  Hartwell-Hart County Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Chambers of Commerce of: Lavonia, and Toccoa in GA and Clemson and Westminster in SC. Feel free to ask about us at any of these organizations or at the State Visitor Centers on I-85 in Fair Play, SC or Lavonia, GA.
Lowest Price and Guaranteed Satisfaction: You will not find a lower rental price on the same house for the same dates on any other web site. If you do, we will match that price. Should the house you select not meet your needs, for any reason, we will change your rental to any other available house without extra charges. Pay only the rental price for where you stay and any cleaning charges.

LAKE HARTWELL is conveniently located in the Southeastern US on the Georgia - South Carolina line at I-85 only 2 hours from downtown Atlanta, Georgia, 2 hours from Charlotte, NC, and 1 hour from Greenville, SC. Hartwell Lake is one of the largest of the lakes in Georgia or South Carolina. Numerous Recreation Areas add to your family vacations by providing public access to 962 miles of shoreline and 56,000 acres of some of the best boating and bass fishing in the southeast. GOLF one of many nearby courses, Bring your boat (Or rent one here) and FISH Lake Hartwell (Home of the 2008 Bassmaster Classic), Lake Keowee (Home of the 2008 WBT Championship) or just off your dock for one of our 40 pound Striped Bass. LAKE KEOWEE is primarily in Oconee County, SC near: Seneca, Salem, Clemson, Walhalla and Westminster, South Carolina (All less than 10 miles from Keowee Lake). Highlands, Cashiers, Sapphire, and Brevard, North Carolina are all within 30 miles. Keowee Lake provides a cooling reservoir for Duke's Oconee Nuclear Station and features 18,500 acres of "blue" water, 300 miles of shoreline, and great views of the Blue Ridge mountains. Full pool elevation is 800' msl. Maximum depth is 297' and the average depth is 54'.
NEARBY  Over 2 million acres of National Forests feature hundreds of hiking trails, mountain trout streams, waterfalls, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, canoeing, rock climbing, mountain biking, scenic drives, bicycling, gem mining, and dozens of beautiful picnic areas. Shopping is plentiful in the local towns of: Anderson, Clemson, Seneca, Westminster, Toccoa, Lavonia and Hartwell as well as many unique area craft markets and factory outlets as well as the largest flea markets in the Southeastern US.
